Day Fifteen – 31 January 2020
Breakfast was chapatis and banana which set us up well for our first leg of today’s run, and the coffee waiting for us at the first checkpoint helped too. The gradient is still tough and we’re climbing, all the time but on the plus side the temperatures are getting cooler. My shin’s still painful and my calves are tight, so I’ve been doing lots of stretching when possible. We called it a day at 29 miles today, totally exhausted. We’re approaching the border with Zambia now, which is exciting. Hoping for a good night’s sleep tonight – we definitely need it.
