COVID 19 FAQ  - Frequently Asked COVID -19 Questions

Q) Will Conquer24 go ahead on the 05/06th June?

A) We are working closely with the Powderham Castle to create a safe environment without taking away the enjoyment of the event. Currently we are working towards the knowledge that Conquer24 will go ahead as planned and we will make sure we follow any guidelines that are put forward. Your health and safety will be our main priority.

Q) How will you keep us safe?

A) We will have extra spacing between camping plots and our marshals will be there to make sure that you are all safe. We will likely have to set competitors off at staggered times, likely only to be seconds between the offsets rather than minutes and it wont effect your overall timings as you are timed from the moment you pass the start/finish line. There will be cleaners to clean showers and toilets with disinfectant at regular intervals and change over area will be managed with a one way system along with a fullt marshalled and managed waiting area.

Q) How will Social Distancing be managed?

A) Powderham Castle is a large venue with enough space for us to keep a one way system in place and we will have clearly marked walkways that will be marshalled to manage social distancing if we are required to do so. We will draw up detailed event map with walkways clearly marked to be given to everyone on arrival along with a briefing, anybody breaking the rules will be disqualified and asked to leave the venue.

Q) Will there be entertainment and Alcohol served?

A) We wont know for certain until the government guidelines are released but from what we understand it might be that we have to limit big gatherings in that case we will still have entertainment but it will be on and around the course for you to enjoy from your camping plots. We will update you all as soon as we can, We wont know if we are able to sell alcohol and in what quantities until guidelines are released and we will update you all as soon as we can.

Q Will there be food and refreshments on sale?

A) Yes! We will have a selection of delicious food and drink on sale including barista coffee and we are looking at the idea of numbering each camping plot and offering a delivery service for those who would prefer that option we will let everyone know as soon as we finalize the plan after guidelines are released.
